Roots. Christian Science has given me stability, peace and happiness throughout my life. “Being rooted and grounded in love” I have devoted my time and energies to helping others.
I am from the Midwest, living in Columbus, Ohio, USA until my family’s recent move to Saint Louis, Missouri.
For many years I worked with my dad in a neighborhood hardware store we owned together. The time came when I felt impelled to share what I had been learning about the Christ Science with others and to devote part of my time in helping them with their challenges. This led to my commitment to full-time practice.
I have always enjoyed what might be called a “teacher spirit.” My graduation from Ohio University included a teaching certificate in secondary education. My service to church included many years as a Sunday school teacher.
I was appointed Committee on Publication for Ohio early in 2006 and was honored to serve in that capacity until 2020. This gave me the opportunity to connect with editors, reporters, and government officials at the local, state, and national levels, as well as dialog with ecumenical and interfaith leaders.
Later in 2006 I was invited to be part of the Normal Class. I teach in Columbus. In 2020 I was appointed to the Christian Science Board of Lectureship.
I am married to my high school sweetheart, Crystal. We have two sons, one an elementary school teacher and the other an engineer/project manager. Our three grandchildren are a blessing.
If you were to search keywords in my life, you would find (in addition to God, Christian Science, and family) astronomy, butterflies, birds, physics, writing, and handy.
