This is the UK title for How spiritual perception brings healing. How can we move away from fear, sickness, and strife into something better? Prayer, as it’s explained through the lens of Christian Science, is a tool for bringing a different viewpoint, and ultimately healing, to any situation.

When we don’t feel freedom, whether our bodies feel constrained, or our thoughts seem out of control, is it because of some outside power or cause? Or is it that the forms of imprisonment we face are mental—the result of false beliefs, fears, and ignorance about God and God’s creation. Christian Science shows how an understanding of the mental nature of any challenge we face enables us to overcome, through God’s power, all forms of imprisonment, including fear, sickness, confusion, injustices, etc.

Effective prayer is more than thinking good thoughts, or begging a far off God to intervene, it is a recognition of the transforming power of God’s law in our lives. Jesus provided strong examples of what prayer can do, and expected his followers for centuries to come to do the same.

Science and Christianity might seem to be incompatible, but in fact they underpinned the teachings and healing ministry of Christ Jesus. The Science of Christianity teaches us about God, Love, in a new way—a way that helps us more clearly understand the truth about ourselves and about God.

Everyone can receive practical inspirations from a higher, spiritual source. They never leave us where they found us, but rather propel us forward to discover and learn more.

The Science of Christianity challenges conventional views of prayer, presenting it not as blind faith, but as a scientific understanding of God’s ever-present love. Drawing from Jesus’ teachings in the Bible, as well as personal experiences practicing Christian Science, Emra illustrates how prayer can bring tangible healing and transformation.
