Deborah grew up in a Christian Science family where spiritual healing was considered just the normal way of handling life’s problems, including illness. Over the years she witnessed her parents quickly heal many childhood diseases and even the effects of accidents and illness in their pets.

For a long time, I felt like I was doing everything I was supposed to do –– pursuing a meaningful career, helping others, and building a life that looks successful on the outside. And yet, underneath it all, there was a persistent sense that something was missing. I followed my desire to help people by earning undergraduate and graduate degrees in social work and spent over a decade working as a psychotherapist.

“What should I do with my life?” Lisa often wondered during her early twenties. She wasn’t sure where she was headed, but she was praying to be of service to humanity.

In 2026-2027, Melanie will be accepting lecture invitations to locations within driving (or train) distance from Boston.Two influences that Melanie will never forget were the Christian Science Sunday School and a mom who turned to prayer and encouraged her to do the same. These influences showed her something of the reliability of God and spiritual inspiration, and trusting this helped her find her way growing up.

Bill Warrick grew up in the Midwest — an area often called the heartland of America for its grounded values and straightforward people. As an adult, he moved to Northern California and enjoyed hiking, skiing, and exploring the mountains and lakes in his free time. In 2017, Bill and his wife, Abigail, relocated to Melbourne, Australia, where Bill took on a senior leadership role and later served as vice principal at a leading academic secondary school.
