Lecturer Profile

Deborah grew up in a Christian Science family where spiritual healing was considered just the normal way of handling life’s problems, including illness. Over the years she witnessed her parents quickly heal many childhood diseases and even the effects of accidents and illness in their pets. As Deborah grew so did her desire to also be able to heal like this. 

From a young age she didn’t doubt that she would some day be able to heal others.  She wanted to be able to share this healing power with the world. Since 2012 she has been listed in the Christian Science Journal as Christian Science healer.

After leaving high school Deborah completed an office management course and worked for a few years in office administration. However, although this was a learning time, she found it didn’t afford many opportunities to help others in the way she yearned to do, so she continued her studies gaining a qualification for primary school teaching and then, several post-graduate qualifications and a Masters Degree.

Deborah worked for the New South Wales Department of Education for over thirty years. For most of this time she worked with students who had been diagnosed with significant learning difficulties and intellectual disabilities. For the last ten years of this work she was in charge of a team of fifty-plus specialist learning difficulties teachers. These years provided her with constant opportunities to use the truths she had been taught in Christian Science and to witness man’s unlimited potential.

Towards the end of this time, Deborah found she was receiving requests for prayerful support.  This led her to resign from the Education Department and take up the full-time practice of Christian Science healing.

Deborah lives in Canberra, Australia. She is married and has one adult son.
