From an early age, I felt a deep love for Christian Science. I remember eagerly counting the days until my twelfth birthday so I could join The Mother Church, and by fifteen I already knew that being a practitioner was the path I wanted to follow.

My love for the teachings of Christian Science started at a young age, with Christian Science grandparents and parents who showed me that expressing good, or God, was my purpose. They also taught me to pray to God for healing.

Christian Science came into my family when Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy healed two of my great grandmothers of incurable diseases. Faithful teachers in Sunday School taught me to love the Bible and to practice its teachings.

A beautiful healing of my mother of an enlarged heart brought our family into Christian Science. I grew up in Texas and I’ve always been a seeker for Truth. My greatest joy has been found in healing, and helping others discover the freedom that only God can give. To know that you are truly loved – never forsaken nor helpless – brings an unspeakable peace like no other. I became a teacher to share this living truth that will further the words and works of Christ Jesus.

Because my mother was such a faithful church-goer, I received my first Bible at the age of three for perfect attendance in a protestant church Sunday School. That record continued until high school when I went to work for a hospital on weekends.

Following a foundational healing of malaria while serving in the US Peace Corps, Philippines, I returned to the US to earn my law degree from Washington University School of Law. The majority of my law and business career was with AT&T. Some AT&T positions involved international responsibilities, including President of the Asia/Pacific region, based in Hong Kong. All of these experiences confirmed for me the universality of divine Love. After my corporate career, I entered into the full-time practice of Christian Science.

Saying “yes” to God makes life a grand adventure.  Learning about my relationship with God benefitted every area of my life, from health to relationships to employment and supply. During college, I wasn’t sure what career path to follow.
