Search: science and health with key to the scriptures

I grew up in Denmark in a loving family and was always encouraged to find the truth for myself. In Austria, I became a goldsmith and received a master’s degree at the university of art and industrial design.

As I was born and brought up in a Hindu family in Northern India, I was totally unaware of Christian Science till someone gifted me a copy of Science and Health with key to the Scriptures in 1975. Understanding the effectiveness of scientific prayer I was impelled to form a group of Christian Scientists that became a Society recognized by The Mother Church in 1983.

Since childhood, I felt on a quest for understanding truth. I spent summers voraciously reading book after book to solve the mystery of the meaning of my life and the world.

I was born in Tokyo, but before starting to speak Japanese fluently, at age two my family moved to Mumbai, India. I consider my four years in India to be my most formative years.

I’ve always loved people—their life stories, their struggles, their successes.  I regularly meet individuals actively cultivating their spiritual life.

I live in the country in Salem, Oregon, where I teach my classes in a tree house environment. I think of my students as an extension of our large diverse family.

I am married and the father of 4 children. Although originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo, I have been living with my family in Brussels, Belgium, in recent years.

I graduated from college as a teacher of commercial science and worked for the post office, for public schools as teacher, and for my own business. Before discovering Christian Science, I was healed of several diseases, and I healed other people at my former church through faith and prayer.

I attended a commercial secondary school (1961-1968) and studied economics at a university (1969-1973). After this education, I taught mathematics for two years before being employed by a well-respected American commercial bank in Kinshasa for fourteen years.
