I grew up in a very loving home, with three brothers and two sisters. My mom lived Christian Science! She was widowed when all six of us were very young, and never worked outside the home.

During college, a significant healing established me on a path to not only better know and understand God, but also to understand why that mattered . After being ill in bed for a week, I was healed overnight after a Christian Science practitioner (whom I’d asked to pray for me) spoke to me about the First Commandment in a way that challenged and revitalized my thinking.

I always knew there was something special about Christian Science. From a young age, I aspired to be a full-time practitioner of this healing truth, yearning to help others experience the healing power of God and find freedom from suffering. After graduating from Stanford University with a BA in economics, I worked five years in my family’s farming and orchard business while listening and praying for next steps toward a career of Christian Science healing.

I was raised attending Christian Science Sunday schools all over the world because my father was a journalist for The Christian Science Monitor . However, I did not make this teaching my own until my late twenties when I was totally confused about my life purpose.  I worked in finance in New York, London and Tokyo, went to cooking school in Paris, and worked as a cook.  A conversation with a friend about how to find direction in life, led me back to Christian Science.

Attending Christian Science Sunday School as a child, I loved what I learned there of God—He’s everywhere, always Love, and All. But going out into the “cold, cruel world,” I couldn’t reconcile what I was seeing with a God who is Love. Putting my Bible and Science and Health on the shelf, I forged ahead, just trying to live a moral, meaningful life. I married, had children, was happy, but missing was a depth to life.  Science and Health beckoned to me. Opening it, I saw my grandmother’s note inside: “Judith Ann—Read this.  You owe it to yourself.” I did, for the first time. When I came to “The calm, strong currents of true spirituality.

The hunger for all things true has been the heart of my search, quest, and practice of Christian Science healing. I have found no other teaching that gets to the crux of it:  Why Christ Jesus was so confident that we too could and would follow in his footsteps.

I was so blessed with the opportunity of receiving spiritual education in Christian Science at home and attending a Christian Science Sunday School. I always loved the Bible's message and Mary Baker Eddy's teachings in her book, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures . I had several healings praying for myself. When I was 12 I wanted to get involved in supporting church activities. I became a member of The Mother Church and a branch church, and started to participate.

All my life I have loved the truths Christian Science teaches. As a child I made some simple proofs of healing.

Before going into the healing ministry I had a professional career working as an executive in the management department for the space program. Earlier, I had earned a Diploma in Business Management.
