In common with many people, I am sure, the two most important things to me are my family and my faith. In fact, I can say that I would not have one without the other, since they came to me about the same time and were very much connected. Seeking help after a succession of three miscarriages, I came across the book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, who discovered Christian Science. A whole new, more spiritual perspective on life began to open up to me, and I learned that healing through prayer is as possible now as in Jesus’ day.

When I was growing up, Christian Science was at the center of family life. Both of my parents were Christian Science practitioners, and I dutifully attended Sunday School.

To live the spiritual laws of God—divine Love—has been at the center of my life since I was a teenager. In my mid-20’s, on sabbatical from teaching and studying voice at a Conservatory, the message came in the middle of a lesson: “This isn’t it.

My greatest joy has been found in healing, and helping others discover the freedom that only God can give. To know that you are truly loved – never forsaken nor helpless – brings an unspeakable peace like no other. I became a teacher to share this living truth that will further the words and works of Christ Jesus.

I was born in Italy and moved to Brazil with my family as a teenager. Ever since my childhood I had felt drawn to religion and spirituality even though my family was not very religious.  Brazil offered me the opportunity to pursue my spiritual search, and I was able to get better acquainted with the Bible, which I loved. Then in college I was introduced to Christian Science by the young man who later became my husband. I immediately felt it was the deep truth I was looking for.

Christian Science was introduced to our family when I was seven and I had the privilege of attending Sunday School in Paris. It was there that I learned to love the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.

I have always loved Christian Science and couldn’t wait for my twelfth birthday so I could join The Mother Church. I knew I wanted to be a practitioner by the age of fifteen.

My love for the teachings of Christian Science started at a young age, with Christian Science grandparents and parents who showed me that expressing good, or God, was my purpose. They also taught me to pray to God for healing.

My family found Christian Science when my grandfather was terminally ill.  After his healing, my grandmother became a Christian Scientist and brought her eight children, including my mother, to Sunday School.  I was raised in Christian Science and saw many healings in my family: burns, facial lacerations, childhood diseases, which were healed quickly and permanently.  Wanting to learn more about how to heal, I went through Primary class.  I became active in my branch church as soon as I graduated from Sunday School. Raising a family and working, provided many opportunities to apply the healing principles of Christian Science.   Our family saw many healings and I had countless opportunities to share Christian Science with others.  After moving from the East Coast to the West Coast, I found that I was spending more and more time helping others through prayer.

I found Christian Science in college and immediately knew I had found the Truth. The first thing I did was read Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, and I was amazed to find articulated what I’d always felt must be true.
