By learning to lean and rely on this greater, higher good, we can feel moved to love beyond ourselves—and this frees us from fear and so much more. .

Circumstances often present what appear to be significant obstacles to living freely, something that everyone wants to do. Whatever it is that seems to stand between us and the full range of motion that we would like to have in our lives — it’s not so much the presenting impediment that is the problem — it’s not knowing how or where to access our God-given liberty.

God’s love is for everyone, and a Christian Science lecture is a perfect setting to learn about God’s love and the healing that it brings.James has seen the healing effects of God’s love since he was a youngster, romping through the woods around his home with his three brothers. They had their share of scrapes and bruises which were quickly healed through prayer.

Simple ideas, about God's nature and about our nature as expressions of God, stir something new in our consciousness. They work in us in ways that change our lives and our health for the better. But how do we find these healing ideas consistently? We’ll look at the teachings of Christ Jesus, our best and most practical example.

I have always had a love of healing in Christian Science. My first family stories were of how my grandfather’s immediate conviction of the Science of the Christ healed my uncles and aunts in their moments of great need.
