Lyn Smith CSB

I have lived most of my life in and around Fremantle, Australia.  I trained as a hairdresser and operated a hairdressing business. Christian Science came into my life shortly after a personal challenge.  A dear friend passed on at a relatively young age.  Shortly after, I bought a second-hand copy of Science and Health - the word “Health” caught my attention.

Bonnie C Rainwater CSB

As a child, I loved listening to Bible stories, especially healings performed by Jesus. These gifts of God’s grace seemed so natural, yet I couldn’t understand why God would not allow for such healings today.

Abigail M Warrick CSB

In 1923 my grandfather was given a copy of Science and Health, and through reading it, healed his five-year-old son (my father) of terminal cancer and polio, whose case had been given up by five physicians. I felt a natural affinity for Christian Science as a young child, and early developed a desire to heal.

Judy L Wolff CSB

I attended Christian Science Sunday School as a child, but my dad insisted that his daughters receive medical treatment. When I was 16 years old, after years of unsuccessful medical care, I had a startling and permanent healing of ear infections through Christian Science. God became my only physician. At age 19, I took a definitive stand for Christian Science and supported my mom’s reliance on it during a critical illness. When it appeared that she was dying, and that Christian Science could not save her, I discovered God as my tender Mother-Love, and committed myself to Christian Science, no matter the outcome. I put God first, and my mom had a radical healing. Nine years later, I was quickly healed of the anticipated fatal effects of an automobile accident through complete reliance on Christian Science.

Susan Breuer CSB

I have always loved Christian Science and couldn’t wait for my twelfth birthday so I could join The Mother Church. I knew I wanted to be a practitioner by the age of fifteen.

Kevin Eugene Ness CSB

I grew up loving Christian Science as a little boy and never stopped. I was raised in Tampa, Florida, in a loving family where it was natural to see Christian Science healing and look to God for answers for all of life’s needs.

Mary Elizabeth Beattie CSB

When I took Christian Science Primary class instruction in my twenties, I found that the teachings were relevant to me as a tertiary student, young wife, mother of four children, traveller and thinker. They also enhanced and steadied my life and work in Australia, England and Malaysia. Today, living in an environment of cultural, political, health and climate challenges, I find reassurance in this counsel from Mary Baker Eddy: ‘We must look deep into realism instead of accepting only the outward sense of things’ ( Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures ).

Chiemezi Elvis Ahanonu, CSB

Chiemezi has always desired to understand how things work, often immersing himself in books in order to explore this desire. He encountered Christian Science as a teenager, through Sentinel radio– and audio program from the Christian Science Sentinel. At first, he didn't really understand it; but he felt there was something more to it that was worth exploring. He began to seriously study Christian Science many years later, applying that same desire to “understand how things work” he’d always felt.
