This is the UK title for How spiritual perception brings healing. How can we move away from fear, sickness, and strife into something better? Prayer, as it’s explained through the lens of Christian Science, is a tool for bringing a different viewpoint, and ultimately healing, to any situation.

In my twenties, religion seemed outdated, irrelevant, boring. It was the ‘60s – the era of recreational drugs, the war in Vietnam, and the ‘sexual revolution.’ After attending graduate school in New York, I pursued a career on Madison Avenue in advertising and marketing.

My most enduring memory following a near-fatal accident is of God assuring me that He was/is my very life. Trapped in my car, I was passing in and out of consciousness.

I am a fourth-generation Christian Scientist. As with every student, there comes a time to make Christian Science truly one's own. When I was in high school, the example of my Sunday School teacher, a practitioner, played an important role in my own commitment to Christian Science. After graduation from Principia College, I received Primary class instruction. At that time, I was a partner in an advertising agency in Newport Beach, California. That year, my first patient, a staff member in a client's organization, who was not a Christian Scientist, asked me for treatment and was healed.
