Nicole found Christian Science during a very troubled and difficult time in her life. At her first encounter with Christian Science, she experienced healing from migraines, which was then followed by further healings in various areas of her life.At first she couldn't explain exactly what had caused these healings.

As a child and young adult growing up in St. Louis, I felt life was a mystery; the future was unknown and the present a string of random events.

This letter was submitted in response to a Times commentary on “manifesting” that erroneously associates Christian Science with New Thought and the New Age practice of manifesting.

We hear everywhere of the challenges of this moment. Civil chaos, mental health issues and climate or pandemic-related social and economic worries dominate the news.

Growing up as part of an active Christian Science family in Colorado, I was surrounded and nurtured by several generations of Christian Science practitioners and taught to rely on God. This way of life guided and steadied me, brought many blessings including the healing of a broken leg while skiing, true spiritual joy and integrity within business, and a wonderful marriage.

Saying “yes” to God makes life a grand adventure.  Learning about my relationship with God benefitted every area of my life, from health to relationships to employment and supply. During college, I wasn’t sure what career path to follow.
