Anne-Francoise Bouffe CSB

Christian Science was introduced to our family when I was seven and I had the privilege of attending Sunday School in Paris. It was there that I learned to love the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.

My love for the teachings of Christian Science started at a young age, with Christian Science grandparents and parents who showed me that expressing good, or God, was my purpose. They also taught me to pray to God for healing.

Judith Hardy Olson CSB

Attending Christian Science Sunday School as a child, I loved what I learned there of God—He’s everywhere, always Love, and All. But going out into the “cold, cruel world,” I couldn’t reconcile what I was seeing with a God who is Love. Putting my Bible and Science and Health on the shelf, I forged ahead, just trying to live a moral, meaningful life. I married, had children, was happy, but missing was a depth to life.  Science and Health beckoned to me. Opening it, I saw my grandmother’s note inside: “Judith Ann—Read this.  You owe it to yourself.” I did, for the first time. When I came to “The calm, strong currents of true spirituality.

The Science of God and its power to heal us

Misconceptions about ourselves and the world we live in are often corrected by advances in science which bring paradigm shifts to our ways of thinking and understanding existence — like discovering that the earth revolves around the sun, rather than the other way around. The current matter-based scientific model leaves many questions unanswered and has some thinkers and scientists questioning if it is still the right model.

Janet Heineman Clements CSB

A beautiful healing of my mother of an enlarged heart brought our family into Christian Science. I grew up in Texas and I’ve always been a seeker for Truth. But during my university studies in graphic arts, I had a challenging physical problem that impelled me to continually read Science and Health.

Lyn Smith CSB

I have lived most of my life in and around Fremantle, Australia.  I trained as a hairdresser and operated a hairdressing business. Christian Science came into my life shortly after a personal challenge.  A dear friend passed on at a relatively young age.  Shortly after, I bought a second-hand copy of Science and Health - the word “Health” caught my attention.

"Love inspires, illumines, designates, and leads the way,” Mary Baker Eddy writes (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, page 454). I have witnessed this in my journey.

Susan E Frank CSB

Growing up, I loved attending the Christian Science Sunday School, where I learned about God’s love for mankind, Jesus’ healing ministry, and Mary Baker Eddy’s discovery of the Comforter, as promised by Jesus. That experience strengthened my deep love for Christian Science and my desire to know more about man’s relationship with God and to put it into practice.

Martha Johnsen Weingarten CSB

Christian Science has been important to me my whole life. Through study of the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, I have loved learning more about God--what He is and what He does, and what we are as His beloved children.  After taking class instruction as a college student, it was clear to me that practicing Christian Science was my goal.  After a few years of teaching  high school English, I left to practice Christian Science more fully, applying the laws of God to each call, and utilizing “the power of Truth over error,” (SH 111: 11) as issues came up in family,  church, and the community.  I became a Journal-listed practitioner in 2015, and went through Normal Class in 2021.
