In consideration of my participation in youth events, initiated by the College Students’ Christian Science Organization at Principia College (the “Committee”) and sponsored by The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, MA (“The Church”), and on behalf of myself (or my minor):
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless, to the fullest extent permitted by law, Principia College, The Church, and the Church’s affiliates, directors, trustees, officers, employees, and agents (collectively, the “Church Parties”) from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, expenses, and liability of every kind and nature, including for negligence and reasonable attorneys fees, that are asserted against or incurred by any of the Church Parties on account of injury or damage to person or property, caused by my (or my minor’s) acts or omissions or suffered by me (or my minor teen) as a result of my (or my minor’s) participation in activities, housing, transportation, and ride-sharing connected with the Christian Science College Summit 2026 (the Event). The above indemnification obligation shall not apply to the extent of any liability caused by the gross negligence or intentional misconduct of any of the Church Parties.
Inasmuch as The Church is not a corporation, I agree that neither the currently existing nor any successor directors, trustees, officers, employees, or agents of The Church or any of its affiliates, has assumed personal liability for the obligations of The Church in connection with my (or my minor’s) attendance of the Event and shall not be personally liable therefor.
I represent that I have the right to enter into this agreement on behalf of myself (and my minor participant, if any) and that I am of legal age.
I agree that this release is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Massachusetts is the sole jurisdiction of the parties.
