Brazilian, born in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Evelin is married and has one daughter. She has lived in various Brazilian cities, accompanying her husband, an officer in the Army, to the places where he was stationed in his service to Brazil. Evelin became acquainted with Christian Science when she was a young child, and she attended this church’s Sunday School in her native city.
In her studies, she chose a career in Information Technology; she has a post-graduate degree in Computer Network Systems, specializing in the area of Information Security, Personnel Management and Auditing. Her love for the field of education led her to complement her studies with a Master’s in Education.
These qualifications were very much appreciated and useful in her professional activities as an officer in the Brazilian Army and as a university professor.
Evelin served the Army in the areas of technology management, process reengineering and qualifying human resources to implement technological projects. In the area of operations, she was active in implementing technological infrastructures for combat simulation exercises and for operations undertaken in the city of Rio de Janeiro to control disturbances and maintain public order.
While an Army officer, she realized that she identified with the concepts of order, morality, respect, discipline and obedience, and she took these values to a higher level, a spiritual level, which aided her in her understanding of God, the infinite Love that blesses and heals.
With this purpose, she decided to serve humanity, dedicating herself completely to the practice of Christian Science, to putting into practice the teachings of Christ Jesus, in accordance with the teachings of Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science. She dedicates herself wholeheartedly to church work and is engaged in many activities.
Currently, Evelin is also serving the Cause of Christian Science as a lecturer.
