User Experience Design Internship

The Promotion & Design Services Group (P&DSG) is seeking a User Experience (UX) Design intern who would like to work in a team environment to design user-friendly digital experiences for the publications, products, communications, marketing, and promotional materials of the Christian Science Publishing Society [CSPS] and other departments of The First Church of Christ, Scientist. UX design requires a combination of technical and creative talents. If you want to craft intuitive and engaging digital experiences and are eager to explore the realm of UX design, you're a perfect fit for our team.

This internship will focus on supporting ongoing initiatives aimed at creating user-centric design solutions as well as contributing to design systems for the organization’s many digital products. Design projects may encompass user interface design in Figma, prototyping, and usability testing. Throughout this internship, you'll collaborate closely with seasoned UX Designers, UX Researchers, as well as developers. You will learn how to work with various stakeholders as a team member of a service-based department.

  • Ability to communicate design decisions clearly

  • Openness to both sharing and receiving feedback

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and efficient self-starter with solid time management skills

  • Tech-savvy and comfortable with learning new design tools and software (e.g. Figma)

Program Dates: May 20 - August 2, 2024

Compensation: Interns receive a $400/week living stipend, as well as housing near The Mother Church. They will also receive a $900 grant upon completion of the internship. These payments are taxable benefits.
