Raised in a family of Brazilians, Argentines and Syrians, Monica enjoyed a blend of cultures, languages, flavors, songs and dances growing up.
She has been a Christian Scientist since childhood. From an early age, she enjoyed attending Sunday School, learning about God’s love and care and experiencing healing in Christian Science. No sooner had she turned twelve than she became a member of The Mother Church and of a branch church in her city, because she wanted to share Christian Science with others. She has enthusiastically participated in church activities ever since.
After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Buenos Aires, she worked for many years in the textile industry. In addition, she worked in finance, providing consulting services to leading companies in the field of computer system organization and development, her academic specialization. During that time, she learned in Christian Science how life can be an adventure of love and how God gives each of us the opportunity to give.
Monica collaborated for several years with The Mother Church as the Spanish coordinator of university activities and helped organize meetings for professors and students in Boston and Montevideo, Uruguay. She later worked as coordinator of Reading Room activities in Latin America and Spain, leading seminars and sharing ideas with Reading Room librarians. She likes to write and is an active contributor to the Christian Science periodicals.
She has been a full-time Christian Science practitioner for many years, helping others to learn how the application of divine laws can bring peace, joy and a productive life. In 2012, she became a Christian Science teacher, having a deep desire to support and nurture others in their understanding and practice of the Science of Christian healing.
Monica speaks fluent Spanish, English and Portuguese. She lives with her family in Caseros, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina.
