Would you like to support Christian Science in other countries or work on software which enables the study of the Bible and Mary Baker Eddy’s books in digital format? Would you enjoy being part of a hard working, prayerfully-focused, and fun team? If yes, the Office of the Publisher’s Agent’s Marketing and Communications internship could be a great fit for you!

The Office of the Publisher’s Agent (OPA) is the department responsible for the publication and sale of the Bible, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, and Mary Baker Eddy’s other writings in print and digital formats, along with the translation of Mary Baker Eddy’s writings into other languages. This internship will introduce you to all aspects of OPA’s publishing work, focusing on marketing and communications for digital and print products.

Opportunities include:

  • Metaphysically support OPA’s work publishing the Bible, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, and Mary Baker Eddy’s other books. 

  • Collaborate with digital, translations, and print product managers, learning about all aspects of publishing.

  • Refine your written and verbal communication skills, creating written and video customer support content to be published on the Concord Help Center.

  • Assist with product development by testing new software features before they are released to customers; as well as recommending product features and improvements, based on using the software.

  • Conduct market and / or culturally-related research, identifying new ways to reach and work with customers around the world.

  • Develop advertising and marketing initiatives using market research data to write advertising copy, draft communications to customers, and more.

  • Join a talented team that brings a deep love of Christian Science and years of product and software experience to every activity.

Qualifications & Desired Qualities:

  • Committed to the study and practice of Christian Science with a deep desire to share its healing message through the Bible and Mary Baker Eddy’s writings

  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to teams as well as accomplish tasks independently

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and efficient self-starter

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Earning a degree in Marketing, Business, or a similar field (or, demonstrated experience and/or interest in these fields)

  • Willing to work on a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment 

  • Interest and/or experience with technical writing and/or web design a plus

  • Interest and/or experience with writing and/or graphic design a plus

Program Dates: May 26 - August 7 (11 weeks)

Compensation: Interns will not receive pay or compensation but will receive a living stipend of $300 per week to help offset the cost of living in Boston. They will also be housed near The Mother Church, free of charge, for the duration of the program. The living stipend and housing are taxable benefits. Interns who are Mother Church members and are returning to school after the internship program will be eligible to receive an Albert Baker Fund educational grant award after their successful completion of the program.
