Dear Members and Friends:

Our worldwide membership had the opportunity to attend in person or online the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church, on Monday, June 4, exploring the theme of “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit” (Galatians 5:25). The meeting included reports from the officers of the Church, as well as Field reports that show how members and churches are walking in the spirit, healing, and connecting with their communities.

If you missed watching Annual Meeting or the related weekend events, you’ll be happy to know that the replay of the video webcast of Annual Meeting and other weekend events are now available. Downloadable versions of all events are also available.

It is with heartfelt gratitude that we thank you for your dedication to this Cause that is blessing the whole world. We think you will enjoy hearing how others are also dedicating themselves to making a difference in the world!

Warmly,
Suzanne Riedel
Clerk of The Mother Church

Dear Members and Friends,

It has been a joy to share news with you from the Clerk's office over the last several years. As conveyed in an announcement in April, I'll be concluding my work as Clerk later in June. It’s a special privilege to share with you news about those who have considered what it means to be a member of The Mother Church and have acted on it by applying for membership. Admission takes place at a regular business meeting of the Christian Science Board of Directors as required in the Church Manual. This afternoon the Board voted to admit new members to our worldwide Church family.

Applications for this admission were received in English, French, German, Igbo, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish and were sent to us from the following locations: Angola, Argentina, Australia, Benin, Brazil, Cameroon, Canada, Chile, Cote d'Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Denmark, England, Germany, Greece, Japan, Kenya, Liberia, Mexico, Nigeria, Peru, Portugal, Republic of Congo, Russia, Rwanda, Scotland, South Africa, Switzerland, Uganda, United States of America, Uruguay, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

These newest members of our worldwide church family unite with us in making a commitment to the Church Mary Baker Eddy founded that is “designed to be built on the Rock, Christ; even the understanding and demonstration of divine Truth, Life, and Love, healing and saving the world from sin and death; ...” (Manual, p. 19).

As always, our sincere gratitude goes out to all members and Christian Science teachers who support the admission of new members through their prayers and by approving and countersigning applications.

Applications for membership are welcome at any time. The next admission of new members will take place on November 2, 2018. Completed applications must be received by the Office of the Clerk no later than October 31.

With heartfelt love and appreciation for each of you,

Suzanne Riedel
Clerk of The Mother Church
