The other posting in this forum about the person teaching Biology got me thinking about this topic.
How many of you started out in professional life and then found CS after you had established your professional life. And found there is, perhaps, a conflict. I imagine (but I don't know) that the biology teacher in the other thread MIGHT have studied biology before he/she was introduced to CS.
I would be interested in hearing your stories - and there must be lots of them: professional soldiers who find CS later in life, how do your careers adjust to this new truth, medical professionals who find CS later in life, what did you do (In this case I read an interesting article by Jer Masterson who was a pediatrician, I think, and then became a CS practitioner).
Anyway, I'm sure there are lots of stories to tell. Please share with us.
