I got the following e-mail today. It isn't from any official CS church address, but it claims to be acting on the request of CSPS officials. However, there is no way to confirm that. I tend to be wary of such things, especially when they ask me to act within a short time (48 hours in this case). Does anyone know if this is legit?

Ordinarily you would get this e-mail and survey request from the Clerk of The Mother Church. In this case the Clerk and the Trustees of The Christian Science Publishing Society have asked Kadence Business Resources to send the e-mail to you. The reason is that Kadence has the capability and resources to do an in-depth survey. Also, some members might prefer taking the survey from an independent firm.
As The Christian Science Monitor moves toward its centennial, Monitor staff want you to have a voice in the future of the Monitor. They would love to know more about your views on the news media in general and on the Monitor specifically. For this reason they invite you to take a survey designed for this purpose.
We are Kadence Business Research, an independent market research company. We are conducting this survey of members of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist at the request of the Monitor. The information you provide will help the team at the Monitor learn how they can better serve you.
We want to assure you that you will not be contacted by us for anything other than this one survey. We may do a follow-up e-mail on this survey unless you opt-out (see “How to opt out” at bottom). We won’t be selling your name or e-mail address – we are only interested in including your opinions and perspectives. All of your answers will be kept completely confidential.
