I wanted to share what Christian Science means to me and ask what it means to you.

To me, Christian Science is the revelation that life is spiritual and good. It is the reminder of this fact. Something always known, and which feels so natural, so right. Christian Science just facilitates re-connecting me to that feeling. And I am so grateful for that, because life is pretty un-fun when one feels disconnected from that, and it feels so good, so good, like everything's ok, when that link is revived. it feels like: ahhhh. Thank you, Christian Science.

How about you?...

MY SPUR BRAKE AND GUIDE

Christian Science is my spur,my brake, and guide,
In the “secret place” is where I abide.

It is my refuge, strength and stay,
I cannot be lost, confused, or in dismay.

When thro’ troubled waters I roam,
It carries me over, safely home.

I cry out aloud, in anguish with fear,
It replies,“I AM is beside you, your call I do hear.”

If I feel misunderstood and maligned,
It makes me still,to fit His perfect design.

Christian Science is my spur, brake, and guide,
Under the shadow of His wings, I safely hide.

Christian Science is for me the gentle voice, the comforting voice for all mankind that says "Good is near". Just as Jesus encouraged his followers to trust that "the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand", Christian Science, as explained in Science and Health with Key to the Scripture, gives each and everyone of us the tools we need to witness The Christ again and again.

Christian Science is the promised Comforter, as spoken of in the Bible to all humanity. It reveals the unmistakable spiritual messages of the Bible's promise and leads us all to discover our innate, spiritual, pure identity. Free from sin, disease and death.

“What does Christian Science mean to me?“

That’s a great question.

For me, it means that I can walk into a supermarket and interact with others more confidently. Seeing and expecting good in those around me and in the things I encounter - recognizing a good marketing ploy - appreciating a shelf stockers commitment to his job - a smile.

For me, Christian Science allows me, more and more, to not feel lost and to know, when in times of feeling lost, that it’s merely a temporary sense of things - that I eventually will find my way - and that I can do that without having to feel frustrated or wary.

It means that I can expect a dawn in times of darkness and can more confidently rely on that dawning.

For me, it’s often meant feeling a sense of total renewal and freedom when facing a physical problem.

Its meant that when I encounter anger or hostility, that I don’t have to be sucked in. That I can more often maintain a sense of poise and assurance, not returning tit for tat, but contributing to a calmer sense of things, often with dramatic results.

It means that, though I don’t always do it or work in that direction, I have the ability to take with me, and to experience, a world outside of the world, a new dimension to life. That I don’t have to become enmeshed or mesmerized by the things my eyes tell me. That I can rise above discord and experience a tangible result.

For me, the Science of Christianity, the principles that Jesus taught, when conscientiously applied, means that I don’t have to rely on others to maintain a sense of my own freedom and that I can take that freedom with me everywhere.

Although many is the time that I hang on by merely my fingernails, CS has helped me to get a firmer grasp on what Love is, and to have Love become a more central, tangible, and experiential force in my daily walk.

It means that I feel truly blessed to have glimpsed what little I have of the infinite power of Love.

Christian Science means many things to me. More than could be contained in words or a single post here.

But here are two very basic things:

1. The supremacy of good, love, and intelligence from a divine, infinite source, and the powerlessness of evil, fear, and ignorance.

2. That I do not have to accept what I see, feel, hear, or experience at face value. I do not believe that they are the truth of my being or identity. And that I will make a point of being alert to this and conscious of the reality of my being which is good and spiritual.

(See Science and Health, p.129 -- "We must look deep into realism instead of accepting only the outward sense of things.")

Hi!

By embracing Christian Science, my life has changed in the way I view life and has taught me to love my neighbor. Mentally I have become focused on the Father-Mother(GOD)-Love, Divine Mind, Divine Principle. These synonyms that I had never thought of to identify the Higher Power.

The spiritual journey is there for me and I am glad that I have found Christian Science to guide me there and that is what is means to me!

I am a Christian Scientist!
